Synopsis
BP began working with Praxis during the early days of computer-based training. Praxis was an early adopter and producer of CBT training. Over time Praxis developed hundreds of CBTs for BP refineries, including HSSE, equipment, instrumentation, maintenance, process and operations related subjects. Following in one such course.
The Project
BP commissioned Praxis to produce a series of 3D animated equipment CBT courses that could be deployed to all their North American refineries. The work included all major refining equipment including Reciprocating Compressors. Praxis researched and wrote the necessary training inconjunction with BP SMEs, and then developed the 3D models and animations necessary to illustrate the subject.
The Result
A 3D animated CBT course detailing the design, function and features of different reciprocating compressor types. By using 3D models and animations, Praxis was able to show the inner workings of these compressors, areas that were otherwise inaccessible for trainees.
