Synopsis
Hudbay contacted Praxis to produce a site safety orientation for their Manitoba Business Units and deploy a Learning Management System to deliver training to contractors and new hires.
The Project
Praxis was originally contracted by Hudbay Minerals in 2015, to write and produce site safety orientations in several different versions based on the audience. The work also included the customization and deployment of a Learning Management System. The original courses and LMS were used reliably to train thousands of new hires, contractors and visitors, with Praxis providing support. In 2025 Praxis was hired again to replace the Orientations and LMS with new courses and updated LMS all designed to be used natively on smartphones.
The Result
Praxis wrote and produced a new Hudbay Minerals MBU site safety orientation in 3 different versions, employee, contractor and visitor. The courses were published in Articulate Storyline with Text-to-Speech narration. A new Learning Management System was also customized and deployed to replace the existing system, with Praxis migrating all existing records to the new LMS.
