Synopsis
TotalEnergies contacted Praxis to develop a new eLearning course detailing how process hazard analysis is performed, and how the risk matrix is applied to processes and process changes to determine likelihood and severity of an incident.
The Project
Praxis has a great deal of experience developing process hazard analysis and process safety management related training for clients in oil and gas. How PHA is applied in practice can be difficult to explain in a manner that is not academic. So in order to demonstrate this process in a manner that trainees can follow, Praxis used a section of a hydrotreater process unit.
The Result
Praxis scripted and illustrated a PHA Methodology eLearning course that succinctly explained why the PHA process is important, and how it is applied in order assess the risk ranking of a process or process change.
