Synopsis
Valero commissioned Praxis to write and produce training addressing the various refinery process units to be used by all Valero refineries.
The Project
Valero commissioned Praxis to write and produce a series of refinery process unit training courses, designed to instruct trainees at any of their refineries on the basic function, chemistry, operating principles and design of the major refinery processes including Fluid Catalytic Cracking, Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation, Hydrotreating, Delayed Coking, Fluid Coking, and Sulfur Recovery Unit. Given the varying designs of all the processes at the different Valero refineries, Praxis developed an ideal generic unit for each process and created a 3D model to illustrate each type.
